Today’s trivia:
- St Davids, located in Pembrokeshire, is the smallest city in the UK with a population of just over 1,300. We’ll visit it on our way to next hotel on Monday.
- There is an entire Welsh-speaking community in the Chubut Valley region of Argentina, settled by Welsh colonists in 1862
- The Batcave entrance in The Dark Knight Rises was filmed at Henrhyd Falls in the Brecon Beacons.
- Largest Book Town: The town of Hay-on-Wye is famous for being the world’s first and largest “book town,” boasting a massive number of second-hand bookstores. According to Google Sundays is quite than Saturdays so well go there tomorrow.
The National Day, St David’s Day (Dydd Dewi Sant) is celebrated on March 1st so we missed it. - We are still winning with the streak of exceptional good weather🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏🤞
The Glamorgan sausages were a disappointment . . .

They are actually not a sausage but with main ingredients of cheese (usually Caerphilly), leeks and breadcrumbs. First recorded in 1850 but with pork. The vego version appeared in WWII due to meat shortages. They are actually pretty good.
The view from our room, No. 708

We walked not too far from the hotel for a Sculpture by the Bay experience . . .

Arriving back at the Quay, we checked out the Pierhead Building to see what ot was about, and low and behold it was free today. So we shot in to learn about it’s history from a coal office, railway office to museum today.

The day was still young, so we (aka me) thought it would be a good idea to search for some more free stuff.
St Mary’s Church and Tinkinswood Burial Chamber were found not too far away..
Google wanted me to stop on A4232 and walk a few 100m to St Mary’s Church. Problem was, there is no verge and traffic is doing 70mph. Gave up on yrying tonhet to.
Google wanted me to go into a gated property for Tinkinswood Burial Chamber but I then found a road side sign for Tinkinswood Burial Chamber but nowhere to park as typical narrow roads in the country with either stone walls of hedges either side. So another give up on that idea.
Lucky for google images . . .

You wouldn’t know we weren’t there. My first AI post!
Near Tinkinswood Burial Chamber was Dyffry Gardens. We got sucked in by the lovely lass at the entry who up sold us to join the National Ttust. We are now ⅓rd the way to breakeven. So probably a good deal.

Annette waw on TV the start of The Other Bennet Sister mini drama. Little did we know that it was filmed here.

Today’s travels . . .
Coming soon, I hope once connectivity is regained
